FAQ

DOJ PS4 Server Rules:

We issue punishments via !warn. If you are found breaking any of these rules, than you will receive a warning. In most cases, 3 warnings and you either are temporary or permanently banned from our community.

All community members must read and agree to all our community rules and guidelines before joining a session.

Our Administration, Owner or Staff Members have the right to change any rules without informing members. The Owner and Administration Team have the right to remove any member from DOJ PS4 if they do not hold our community rules, guidelines or standards.

Overall Server, Game Play & Role Play Rules:

All characters must be registered in our CAD before joining a session.
All licences, vehicles, firearms, items, houses, and other assets must be purchased through our Discord economy before noting it in our CAD. For example, you must complete a Driver's Test and purchase a license before getting your Driver's License valid in the CAD. Same for vehicles, you must purchase your vehicle before registering the vehicle in the CAD.
Cop Baiting and any other unrealistic crime will not be tolerated. If you do this you will be warned with Fail RP.
Derogatory remarks about: race, gender, sexual preference, sexual orientation, religion, gender identity, etc will not be tolerated. Whether it’s in roleplay, OOC, or Discord.
Fail RP or Failure to Role Play is not tolerable at all. This means anything you would not do in real world you should not do during a role play scenario.
If you decide to kill or permadeath your character, you will be removed by all your inventory, money, registrations, vehicles and/or firearms. You may assign them to a "Next of Kin" but has to be approved by the judge in #court. If you were shot or killed in game, you can revive yourself by going to the Medical Center and taking the realistic approach of making a full recovery, but again it has to be done realistically. You do not recover from bullet shots or vehicle accident in the matter of minutes. More like a few hours or days.
If you get a wanted level in a session, you must either call Lester to remove the wanted level or lose the ingame cops before you conduct any roleplay scenario. If you are in a pursuit while have a wanted level, stop, pull over and tell the Law Enforcement that you have a wanted level and Law Enforcement will let you clear it.
Leaving during a Role Play scenario is considered Fail RP and will be warned.
No explosives are to be used in a session. Unless with permission by a Staff or Admin.
No metagaming. Or using OOC or external information to use in your in-game role play scenario. This can include using maps, overhead player display.
Off duty Law Enforcement can not take in apart of Drug Pickups and Drop Offs.
Off duty Law Enforcement can not take in apart of robbing as described in #robbing
Once a session is official, all laws, fines and server rules and regulations are active. Which means if you are driving a stolen vehicle or breaking the law while its official you will have to serve the jail time for such crimes.
Power Gaming is not allowed. Or using mechanics or role playing items that do not exist in our community.
Redoing, stopping, "22ing", editing a role play scene has to be done by a Staff Member. If you are found going out of character during a role play scenario you will be warned.
Roleplaying sexual assault (such as non-consensual touching, rape, etc.) is not allowed. If you would like to do a form of sexual assault scenario, you must have all users okay and informed of the scenario.
Take into account the fear aspect of your role play scenario. If you would fear for your life in the real world if the scenario was real, than you should role play that during your scenario. For example, f someone pulls a gun on you, you must abide by what they say.
Use of the mini-map, overhead player display and going into the pause menu without telling a Staff Member before will result in a warning for Metagaming.
When role playing, do not speak out of character and than back in character. Or "out of role play". Finish role playing with what transpires.
You are too serve all jail time you are sentenced too. If you have to get off the following session you will have to finish rest of your time.
You must understand that vehicle pursuits and resisting arrest is not the only interaction one has with the police. If you are found starting multiple of pursuits without much reasoning you will be warned for Fail RP.
You can not include any session members that has the Passive Role in all scenarios that has to do with role play that is defined as a Felony in the DOJ PS4 Penal Code, linked on our Official Website. For any session members that do not have the Passive Role are "fair game". As well, any Session Members who is in Passive Mode, they may not perform any felony scenarios until they have left Passive Mode.
Civilians can not randomly jump out of cars and start shooting without proper role play and reasons to justify doing so.
If you perform SBC (Suicide by a Cop) during or after a scenario you will still have to serve the time and face the fines. Just because you kill yourself in game does not justify that you are not responsible for the crimes you committed before. Also, keep in mind if you Perma-Death, you will still be responsible for your fines as they are passed to the Next of Kin.
There can not be more than 3 clocked in workers for all State Employment Jobs except Highway Patrol Cadets & Troopers. This is so all players do not work as the same job all at one time and provides variety in role play.

Discord Etiquette and Rules:

Advertising any other community, business, Discord, social media, other any other platform not associated with DOJ PS4 is not allowed without consent from the Administration or Owners.
All community members must read and agree to all our community rules and guidelines before joining a session.
All documents, information or other assets of DOJ PS4 are confidential to users in DOJ PS4. Releasing, publishing or copying our confidential information is not allowed, no exceptions. Our Staff took their time to comply everything you see in the community, you can not copy it and claim its yours.
All users must have a working, clear sounding microphone/headset.
Do not ask Staff Members when a session will be. Staff are the only ones that can host official sessions, and they will announce in #annoucements when they choose. The minimum player limit for a session is 5.
Have your Discord nickname only as your Character name. If you are Law Enforcement, include your Rank, Last Name, and Badge Number.
Private messaging Staff, Administration or Owners are not allowed. Use the #staff-questions or #community-chat to generally ask for questions.
The Nearby Voice Channels can not be abused. The users in each Neaby Voice Channel has to be at a NORMAL talking volume. If you are outside of a building and talking to someone inside, thats something that can not happen. As well as your driving down a road and your talking to someone down the street. If you would like to call someone than you must put that in #actions chat.
The Owner and Administration Team have the right to remove any member from DOJ PS4 if they do not hold our community rules, guidelines or standards.
Us of in-game voice chat is not allowed. We use the 'Nearby' channels and/or 'Traffic Stop' channels during official sessions. For Dispatch we use a Party only if all LEO on duty has a Mic that can be used.
When pulled over by a law enforcement, move down to an empty 'Traffic Stop' voice channel.
When you are in Jail, you must be in the Jail Voice Channel.
When you post your PSN into #roll-call chat. You are saying you will be online and able to log onto GTA Online at the time announced! If you do not show up when your PSN is in #roll-call you will be warned for Not Showing up.
You are not allowed to be a Staff, Administration, Owner or any other Developmental Role of a different GTA V roleplaying community.
You can not use another character name that is not already used in the community already.
You must be in a Nearby Voice Channel while active in the server. If you are AFK, than move down to the AFK Voice Channel.
If you like to join DOJ PS4 on an Alternative (Alt) Account, you must inform The Ownership Team of your Alt Account.

Vehicle Rules:

Bulletproof tires are not allowed in session. Unless with permission by a Staff or Admin.
Do not flip your vehicle right side up if you do flip your vehicle. If you do this you will be warned for Fail RP.
Drive vehicles like you would in real life. For example if you barrel roll, flip, or jump your vehicle over an extensive amount your vehicle is not able to drive away after that in real life. If you do this you will be warned with Fail RP.
If involved in a car crash treat it as you would in real life. You run into something you would not drive away. Because of that you will be warned with Fail RP. Also wait until Emergency Services clears the scene. Please call 911 to make the police aware.
No Aircraft allowed during Official sessions. Unless with permission by a Staff or Admin.
There are only a handful of cars eligible to have a turbo in session, if you'd like to have a turbo on an eligible vehicle or inquire about a specific vehicles eligibility do so by asking a Staff or Admin member.
Use of Red, Blue, or Blacklight underglow is not allowed.
Use of vehicles not listed in the Car Registration Form or in the Car Price Regtrigy are not allowed to be used in an official session. Any other vehicles can not be used without permission by a Staff or Admin.
You must understand that vehicle pursuits and resisting arrest is not the only interaction one has with the police. If you are found starting multiple of pursuits without much reasoning you will be warned for Fail RP.
If a vehicle can not realistically drive up All-Terrain, for example hills, mountains, river banks, beaches, etc than that vehicle is not allowed to do so. Please take in to account what your vehicle can do realistically and do not abuse it.

Firearms and Weapons Rules:

No explosives are to be used in a session. Unless with permission by a Staff or Admin.
Use of firearms not listed in our store or in the Firearms registration form can not be used in an official session. Any other firearms can not be used without permission by a Staff or Admin.

Robbing Server Activity Rules:

All locations have both inner and outer CCTV footage that is 247.
If you switch getaway cars or clothing you must write it down in actions chat. And you must change vehicles or clothing in a realistic location. Failure to do this will result in a Fail RP warning.
If your face isn't covered before the robbery the security cameras or an officer WILL identify you.
Must enter command before you begin the robbery.
Officers can only be aware of safe houses once one is discovered in role play and not through Fail RP or Metagaming.
Officers may check the footage at any time, if they do you must answer all questions asked by a LEO truthfully. Failure to do this will result in a Fail RP warning.
Once you evade the police you will have to go to a safehouse to complete the robbery.
One robbery per person per session allowed. Any others will not receive any money and will be warned as Fail RP.
Only 1 robbery can be done in a 15 minute span. This starts once the last robbery command was entered in #actions💥💥 chat.
Only one location can be robbed at one time, we just don't have the LEO personal to cover all locations.
You can not take apart of a robbery if there are 3 or less active Law Enforcement officers on duty.
You must wait 5 minutes inside the store near the safe before you grab the cash from the safe. You will be warned if you leave earlier than 5 minutes if LEO do not respond.
You are required to interact with the police and role play some sort of conversation between you the Robber and the Law Enforcement on scene. This is preventing you to just run out of the store when Law Enforcement arrives on scene because this is not realistic if following Fear RP. This rule again will be enforced immediately and all Law Enforcement is being told if anyone leaves the scene without negotiating with units on scene to use lethal force to prevent escape.

Permanent Death Rules:

These rules pertain to when a member is permanently (Perma) killing the character.

The player them self have the only choice when they would like to Perm Death their character. No other members that are not playing the character can decide if the character will permanently die.
When considering if to permanently kill your character, keep in mind Fear RP as well as the extent of the scenario. You obviously don't need to kill off your character for a quick, silly thing that happened. But on the contrary, if a scenario goes as in depth and transpires over a few days and your character ends up dying. Than maybe you should consider Perma Death. If not and your character gets heavily injured, than you MUST ROLEPLAY that you are in the hospital, ER, what not for a few IN REAL LIFE DAYS.
Once a member decides their character will permanently die, they must fill it through the court. And the court will have the final say on what will transfer over to the new character. But be prepared that next to nothing will be transferred and you will start from scratch in relation to money, firearms, vehicles, property, criminal background, etc.
You must delete the character in the CAD.
Once you decide to Perma Death, you can not switch back and change your mind.
You must change your Discord nickname to your new character's name.
You must declare your death in the #court chat. When doing that your property will be decided.
Vehicles can be transferred over to the total amount of $20,000. The courts have the final judgement.
If there are existing vehicle payments, the owing balance will be taken from the current balance, than through repossession of vehicles to the amount that's owed, the remaining payments will be transferred to the next of kin (new character).
No matter what the balance of the old character was, the new character's balance will be at least $1,000. The courts will have the final judgement on what money is transferred over.
All firearms will be taken away and not able to be transferred over.
All licenses will be taken away and not be able to be transferred over EXCEPT the normal Driver's License.
If the old character has existing, or past due citations, those will be first taken from the current balance, than through repossession of vehicles, than will be taken out of the next of kin's (new character's) balance.
Warrants EXCEPT FTA Warrants, and BOLO's will not be transferred over unless decided by the courts.

Hitman Server Activity Rules:

You can ask the Hitman to perform a task in the #hitman chat.
You do not need to, we suggest, not Perma Killing your character if the Hitman scenario ends in a death.
If the Hitman scenario did end in a death, you must though ROLEPLAY that you are dead until the scenario is over. To check if the scenario is over just ask in #community-chat.
Keep in mind that this is just for fun and for role play, we understand how this might be a little "triggering" but just remember that its just for fun and whatever happens during the scenario won't affect your long term character's roleplay!

Diamond Casino Server Activity Rules:

The Casino is open 24/7, if you have the Premium Membership. Meaning you do not need to be in the session or even there does not need to be a session going on to join the Casino.
You will be charged automatically every hour, on the hour, $5,000 for a recurring Membership. You can cancel this any time by doing !unsubscribe.
There are no refunds, redraws, etc from transactions issued through the Casino.
There is a current cool down for all games, you can not play more than 15 rounds of each game in more than 10 minutes. This means technically you can play 15 rounds of Blackjack, Roulette, Slots, Cock Fight in 10 minutes adding up to 60 rounds in 10 minute span.
For Blackjack, Cock Fight, Roulette, and Slots the minimum bet is $100 and the maximum bet for all games are $10,000.
For Cock Fight you will need to purchase a "Chicken" from the store. It is $25. You will need to purchase one each round you play Cock Fight. Keep in mind if you purchase more than one at a time and than play the Cock Fight game. It will use all the chickens you have in your inventory.
For Lucky Wheel, you will need to purchase "Lucky Wheel Access" which gives you access for 1 spin at the Lucky Wheel. This one roll does cost $5,000. When you do the command !spin to spin the wheel, it will remove your access causing you to purchase it in our store each spin.
